Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 5, 2026
Steady Grove LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Steady Dad mobile application (the "App") and the website at steadydads.com (the "Website"), collectively referred to as the "Services." This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Services.
The short version: The App stores all your data locally on your device. We don't have user accounts, we don't track how you use the app, and we don't collect analytics. The only data that leaves your device is purchase information processed by Apple or Google through RevenueCat.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 In the App
The App is designed to keep your data on your device. Here's what that means:
- App Data: Your preferences, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- No User Accounts: The App does not require or offer user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers through the App.
- No Analytics: The App does not contain analytics software. We do not track which features you use, how long you spend in the app, or any usage patterns.
- No Advertising: The App contains no ads and no advertising trackers.
1.2 Purchase Information
If you make a purchase in the App:
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We never see or store your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements (whether you've unlocked premium features). RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt from the app store. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
1.3 On the Website
The Website (steadydads.com) collects some information separately from the App:
- Google Analytics: The Website uses Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns (pages visited, referral sources, general location). This data is aggregated and not linked to your identity.
- MailerLite: If you sign up for our email list, MailerLite collects your email address to send updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
1.4 Support Communications
If you email us for support, we collect your email address and the content of your message so we can respond.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Process Purchases: Verify and deliver premium features you've purchased.
- Respond to Support Requests: Reply to emails you send us.
- Send Email Updates: If you signed up for our newsletter, send you updates about Steady Dad. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Understand Website Traffic: Use aggregated analytics to understand how people find and use our website.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. Period.
The only third parties that receive any data are:
- RevenueCat: Anonymous purchase entitlement data (App).
- Google Analytics: Aggregated website traffic data (Website only).
- MailerLite: Your email address if you subscribe to our list (Website only).
- Apple / Google: Purchase processing through their app stores.
We may also disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, any information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data Storage and Security
App data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage (MMKV with AES encryption). We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Because your data lives on your device, you have full control over it - deleting the app removes your data.
For website services (email list, analytics), data is stored by the respective third-party providers (MailerLite, Google) under their own security practices and privacy policies.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 App Data
Since all app data is stored on your device, you have complete control. Deleting the app deletes your data. No request to us is needed.
5.2 Email List
You can unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
5.3 Website Analytics
You can block Google Analytics using browser settings, ad blockers, or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5.4 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect (see above - it's minimal).
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at me@steadygrove.com.
5.5 European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights including access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and the right to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at me@steadygrove.com.
6. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults (parents). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at me@steadygrove.com.
7. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites or resources (crisis hotlines, book recommendations, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
